Kindle + Offbeat Guides = Travel Guide Heaven

Another reason to love my Kindle is that you’ll know be able to purchase and download Offbeat Guides for $3.99. If you’ve never heard of OffBeat Guides, they are great because unlike regular guidebooks, these are updated with live information as opposed to a 2 year old book you purchase at Barnes and Noble. Offbeat Guides even has live currency conversion rates, weather forecast, live events, etc. The only downside is that the Kindle is black and white so you don’t see the purdy pics. Now on the brighter side is the fact that you can carry your Offbeat Guide (and other Kindle books) on your iPhone/iPod which is great when you are traveling… not to mention the pretty colored pictures :)
