Verdict of Domino’s New Pizza

Domino’s Pizza has acknowledged that their pizza sucks and is giving their product a complete new makeover (visit http://www.pizzaturnaround.com). The advertising promises a new pie with sweeter sauce with a kick of red pepper, shredded mozzarella as opposed to diced with an added hint of provolone and a parsley, garlic, buttery new crust.

So what’s the verdict?

The crust is definitely tastier with the promised garlic and buttery flavor (even saw a few pieces of minced, roasted garlic baked in the dough). Although the pizza smelled great and looked better than before, the crust still wasn’t as crispy as I personally prefer. Sauce tasted similar, if anything a tad bit sweeter. Cheese tasted the was but was a little bit more stretchy…

In conclusion, the pizza is an improvement from the old recipe but nothing to rave about.

    I like it. As with all Domino pizzas its up to the location to get it right. I specifically ask for well done/crispy when I order it. This makes a huge difference!

    oh good! i’ve been wondering… it’s pretty clever marketing, v. ballsy.

    the cheese tasted the…same?! looks pretty good for a delivery pizza!

    you like your crust thin, but ordered a hand tossed? have you tried their thin crust yet? i love me their firey hawaiian thin crust, but i know you don’t go that way, veggie man. :)

    LOL. Haven’t tried their thin crust and I will ask for it well done/crispy. Let me know after you guys try it what you think…
