Best Food From Vienna

Last night we enjoyed a meal at this tiny restaurant (owned by two gay guys). We had a four course meal for 44 euros each but sooooooo very worth it. First two courses wereÂ¬â€ fish soup with seared scallops and a homemade lasagna with rare mushrooms in between that are only found in Vienna. Main course was prawns with tomato and watermelon salad and palenta. We had a chardonay for dinner (also from Vienna) and a special desert wine for dessert from the same vineyard. Dessert consisted of a sheep/goat cheese, some other kind of cheese and a handpicked/homemade blueberry jam, amaretto pudding, pastachio ice cream with some sort of flan and a stick of chocolate. That meal was probably the best meal we have had so far.Â¬â€ And come to think of it, the best food in general we have had so far is in Vienna. Today we ate at this vegetarian restaurnat (also very good). We each had a large plate of garbanzo beans, spinach, tabuleh, cucumber tzatziki, green beans, rice pilaf with cashews, and some other really good stuff. Also had a zuchinni soup. We have walked around every city/district in its entirety. Gio got tons of shopping done and believe itÂ¬â€ Lauren has not had very much luck.Â¬â€ The euro is definately not in our favor.Â¬â€ Lauren actually has to think very hard before making a decision.Â¬â€

Oh by the way we did try their famous desserts (chocolate cake with apricot filling/jam) called sachertorte, at this amazing place called Demel thatÂ¬â€ has been makingÂ¬â€ pasteries for the courts since forever.Â¬â€ The hot chocolate there was also amazing and so was the amaretto/marangue cake Gio had. That same day we tasted these sandwiches (open faced) made of all sorts of pastes (egg salad, tuna salad, salmon, paprika and tons of others that I can not remember). These sandwhiches are very typical Viennese fast food (who knew fast food could be soooo tasty). They cost only .90 euros per sandwhich. We accompanied the sandwhich with these tiny tiny mini beers called pfiffs.Â¬â€ By the way the weather has been overcast and around 6 pm everyday it begins to rain which at thw same time it gets a little more chilly.

Very romantic.

So I hacked my iPhone in line waiting for the new one last Friday when a gentleman from Finland was asking if anyone had their old iPhone’s hacked for sale. So I immediately volunteered and hacked my phone and sold it to him which paid for my new one.

Hi,

Greetings from one happy Iphone owner! Our Florida vacation is now over and we are back in Finland. The phone works here perfectly and it also roamed at Paris and Stockholm airports. Youtube started working yesterday after I found (in the installer) a Youtube patch for ver 1.1.4. Iphone has not been sold in Finland until now. It is sold only by one carrier and it is not the carrier my employer uses - so getting one from the US was in fact the only way for me to get an Iphone.

I didn’t know that it was this easy to fix the Iphone. The people in the 3G-line didn’t really know if their phones would work with another carrier, so I got unsure whether it was at all a good idea to buy a unit. Luckily you were there and had all the information. It was impressive to see all that text flashing on the Iphone screen when you did the update right there on the street

I still got next week off. After that it is time to return to work. I take care of media research projects. Right now we are doing eye-tracking on websites and magazines. It is interesting stuff so returning to work actually doesn’t feel that bad.

You can enable a “Bonjour Browser,” which allows you to add list of computers you can connect to via the new ScreenSharing application (hiding in /System/Library/CoreServices) in Leopard.
